Who can apply
About you
- The applicant must own and occupy a DC historic landmark or qualifying contributing house in a historic district.
- The applicant needs a compliant Clean Hands Certificate.
- Total household income must be below 120% AMI.
- Awards are competitive and subject to available funding.
- Work already started or completed is not eligible.
The home
- The property must receive the Homestead Deduction.
How to apply
- The recipient must hire and manage a licensed contractor and maintain the funded work for ten years.
The program makes the final eligibility decision.
